Calypso gains a foothold in UAE
Abu Dhabi Investment Company (Invest AD) is implementing new treasury and asset management software from Calypso, front-to-back office.
This will be Calypso’s first site in the UAE, to Banking Technology’s knowledge.
Calypso says its software will replace Invest AD’s existing investment solution, a legacy back office solution and several other in-house developed applications.
Banking Technology understands on the way out are the old installation of Urbis from Unisys and the Kastle Treasury system from India-based 3i Infotech.
“With Calypso, we have an end-to-end solution that can streamline our investment process, improve our STP [straight-through processing] and benefit from a unique functional coverage to facilitate the growth of our treasury and asset management business on one platform,” says Fatema Jumaa Al Junaibi, acting head of operations at Invest AD.
“Following an extensive selection process, Calypso stood out as the most comprehensive solution for our needs. In addition, Calypso is a robust platform that we can leverage for more functionality in the future,” she explains.
